Boiled Lobster Tails Recipe

I love lobster. Who doesn’t? This boiled lobster tails recipe is one of my favorite ways to cook lobster, or really any seafood. The natural flavor is really quite delicious, and then dipped in butter to finish it off. Mmmm.

Boiled Lobster Tails Recipe

The recipe is really simple. Boil water in a large pot, with 1 tsp of salt per quart of water. Place the lobster tail in the water. When the water starts boiling again, lower the heat to a low boil and start the timer. The duration depends on the weight of the lobster tails:

1-3 oz: boil 3-5 min.
4-6 oz: boil 5-7 min.
10-12 oz: boil 10-12 min.
14-16 oz: boil for 15-20 min

Remove the lobster tail from the water, let it cool, and enjoy!
