After writing about how to make chocolate tuxedo strawberries yesterday, I got a few emails with people wondering “How Do I Store Chocolate Covered Strawberries”? Here’s what I’ve learned.
1. You can’t store chocolate covered strawberries for very long – no more than a few days. If at all possible, make them the same day that you plan to serve them.
2. If you do plan on eating them the same day that you make them, put them in the fridge to harden the chocolate (about 8 hours), then take them out and let them come to room temperature.
3. If you plan on storing them, place them in a covered plastic container lined with parchment paper or waxed paper, and with a layer or paper on the top. You can layer them between layers of parchment/waxed paper if you need to. Place them in the coldest part of the fridge – usually in the bottom vegetable drawer, or at least at the bottom of the fridge.
They only last for a few days, so eat them as fast as you can!
